Dentaid’s Frequently Asked Questions

If you would like to donate equipment, please contact Dentaid on 01794 325148 (Mon-Fri 9-5) or send an email to workshop@dentaid.org. (It may be possible to arrange a collection.)

PLEASE NOTE: Due to generous donations, we are currently unable to accept offers of dental chairs or dentomat amalgamators. 

  • Where does Dentaid work?

    • Dentaid has supported oral health programmes in over 60 countries from countries ranging from Peru to Romania, Russia to Uganda and Sri Lanka to Sierra Leone. We will consider all applications for support on their merits and have a global perspective for our work. 

    Currently we have projects in need of funding in Cambodia, Uganda & Peru.

  • How does Dentaid operate?

    • Traditionally our funding comes from appeals, fundraising, other forms of regular giving and trading.  Due to the expansion of our work we are now seeking to receive funding from legacies, trusts and corporate partnerships and sponsorship such as that established with Denplan.

    We need volunteers to assist with our operations in the UK. Please note that dental or engineering experience is not always required as there are many different ways in which you can volunteer:- 

    • Administration 
    • Presentations
    • Instrument sorting
    • Collecting equipment
    • In the workshop
    • Providing storage space
