Our Supporters :: Cameroon School Sponsors
The Lions of MD105, of the Lions Clubs International, have taken on the initial £5000 set up cost of the programme. This is vital support that will enable Dentaid to set up the project and buy vital equipment to be used during the programme. Dentaid wishes to thank the Lions for this generous support.
The Lancaster Vocational Training Scheme 2007 - 2008 has taken on the sponsorship of the oral health promotion kits to be supplied to the schools. Following on from the initiative taken by one of their members, Bhavika Patel, the members have given valuable support to the project by providing the educational materials that will be used to provide vital oral health information to the children in the schools.
Dentaid currently has two of its five schools sponsored in Cameroon
Government Primary School, Mbve, Kumbo
Sponsored by Rose Lane Dental Practice
This is a typical government primary school in Cameron, characterised by dilapidated buildings and children form very poor homes. The parents cannot afford to pay fees as in a private school or mission schools. Dental care is ordinarily far out of reach of these children.
