Cameroon School Programme Sponsors
Thank you very much to the following sponsors who generously contributed to this programme
The Lions of MD105, of the Lions Clubs International, provided the initial support for this project.
The Lancaster Vocational Training Scheme 2007 - 2008 sponsored the oral health promotion kits to be supplied to the schools. Following on from the initiative taken by one of their members, Bhavika Patel, the members have given valuable support to the project by providing the educational materials.
Rose Lane Dental Practice sponsored the Government Primary School, Mbve, Kumbo
A typical government primary school in Cameroon, characterised by dilapidated buildings and children from very poor homes. The parents could not afford to pay fees as in a private school or mission schools. Dental care was ordinarily far out of reach of these children.
Exeter and District BDA Section sponsored the Cameroon Baptist Convention Primary School, Nkwen

This school had a population of 670 pupils. It was in an urban area but over three quarters of the children were from low income families. The sponsorship covered the cost of the dental materials, the oral health education kits and the screening and any subsequent treatment needed by the children.
Christina Nelson sponsored St. Peter's Primary School, Bambui
This school had 450 pupils. Pupils came from very poor backgrounds. The need for dental care was very urgent in these areas. The school was situated four miles from the Nkwen CBC dental clinic where the children were referred for any necessary treatment.
