Many families live in heavily polluted surroundings without sanitation, electricity  or safe drinking water. Not surprisingly, the thousands of families living in these slums suffer from a poor diet. This affects their dental health, which in turn affects their ability to eat due to pain and decay and can lead to further malnutrition.

With our partners ADESA, we will furnish a dental health clinic to provide dental education and dental treatment. The clinic’s services will include: examinations, radiographs, cleanings, fillings, and extractions. The education programme will teach both children and adults the principles of oral health, will offer nutritional information, and will provide the means as well as the necessary instruction and awareness for daily tooth brushing. The clinic space is ready and staff and volunteers are ready to start treating patients as soon as the equipment arrives.
