Recycling waste crowns for Dentaid offers dental practices a way to dispose of their precious metal waste in a quick and convenient way whilst supporting charitable oral health programmes all around the world.

This new venture is in partnership with Refining Direct, an established UK company, specialising in waste crown reclamation. They purchase crowns on a gross weight with no need for cleaning or smelting. There are no processing charges and their use of the post system rather than travelling representatives ensures the highest prices for customers. For this initiative Refining Direct is kindly giving Dentaid an extra 10% premium on top of their normal prices.

Supporting this scheme will give Dentaid much needed funds towards its future projects. It is a fantastic way to make a very real difference to underdeveloped communities from otherwise wasted resources.

                                             The Refining Process

1. Autoclave waste crowns and enclose inside a laboratory bag in any order/ condition.

2. Write your name and address on the FREEPOST special   delivery envelope. Seal the contents inside and hand it in at any post office. Contents will automatically be insured up to £1000.

                                             3. Weighing and valuation of material at Refining Direct, using the latest London Bullion market prices.   

4. The money for the refined material is sent to Dentaid.

5. You will be kept informed of how much money Dentaid has received from the recycling of your waste crowns.
