Physical Resources
Providing dental care and running oral health programmes relys on physical resources. Where possible, Dentaid encourages the sourcing of equipment and resources locally to stimulate the local economy and encourage sustainability. However, in many countries, specialist resources like dental equipment are simply not available. .

Dentaid is world renowned for its dental equipment and resource operation. Since Dentaid began, the charity has helped set up almost 200 dental clinics in over 50 countries around the world. Today, Dentaid helps set up a regional referral clinic on average every twelve working days and supplies numerous other resources like instrument kits and oral health education resources for primary healthcare projects all over the world.
This is not a commercial business enterprise. Dentaid supplies only to verified charitable projects and certain government initiatives. Regrettably, we cannot provide to private practitioners, nor to projects within the European Union. Finally, Dentaid will also not supply resources if it believes they are inappropriate to the needs of the community the project is intending to serve.

In some circumstances, recipients can apply for a Dentaid Bursary where we attempt to find an external sponsor for this cost if it is truly and verifiably beyond the financial means of the clinic and they know of no other organisation that can help. However the criteria are strict and this process may take a long time.
