Volunteer with BrightBites - No dental experience needed

BrightBites sessions are delivered by our fantastic team of volunteers.

Volunteers visit schools, holiday clubs, and childcare organisations to give a fun, interactive talks about toothbrushing, teeth names, sugar awareness, and the importance of dental check-ups.

All volunteers receive a BrightBites t-shirt, the presentation and all the resources they need to deliver the session at their local school.

How often would I be required to host a BrightBites session?

It's entirely up to you!

There are no set expectations on how often you volunteer, every visit makes a difference!

How far would I need to travel?

This is completely up to you. You can stay local or travel further if convenient. Just specify your preferred travel radius in your application.

Can I use my existing DBS?

If your DBS is on the update service (with an active subscription), we can use it—just provide your certificate number, surname, and date of birth below.

If you’ve volunteered with Dentaid before, we may be able to use your previous DBS as they are valid for three years.

Do I host visits alone?

As our team is small we can’t arrange co-hosts at this time.

If this seems a bit daunting you can invite a peer or colleague to join you - just ensure they apply and meet the criteria (18+ and happy for us to run a DBS check)
