Job Title: Senior corporate fundraiser
Type: Full-time, Permanent, Monday-Friday
Salary: £32,000-£35,000 per year

Job description
Dentaid The Dental Charity is looking for a proactive and experienced fundraiser to lead on its corporate partnerships. This is a varied and busy role in a rapidly growing charity that is attracting support from many of the biggest brands in the dental industry. We are looking for a dynamic individual to look after and expand existing relationships and to seek and develop new partnerships that generate income, volunteers and donations that support our work.
Dentaid provides mobile dental services for people experiencing homelessness, poverty, harm and abuse. By taking our charity dental units to projects across the UK, we are relieving pain and restoring self-esteem for the most vulnerable members of our communities. In this new role you’ll be a key part of a friendly and highly successful fundraising team where you’ll be given the freedom to develop ideas and find new opportunities. Our work is national and you’ll be working with high profile brands as you build, manage and develop your portfolio of corporate supporters.
This is an exciting time at our ambitious charity as we expand our geographic reach, launch exciting new projects and diversify our income streams. You may be joining us from another charity or have B2B experience that gives you the passion for changing lives through dental care.
Key responsibilities
- Proactively seeking new corporate partners to drive income and support for Dentaid’s work from both within and outside the dental sector.
- Managing a portfolio of existing corporate relationships and developing connections to strengthen these
- Researching and applying for new CSR and Charity of the Year corporate initiatives in line with Dentaid’s charitable objectives.
- Leading the corporate events fundraising programme.
- Attend networking events, speaking engagements and being an ambassador for Dentaid in the corporate world.
- Hosting corporate visitors at Dentaid’s clinics and projects.
- Writing persuasive proposals and preparing reports for corporate funders to demonstrate the impact of their support.
- Playing a key role in the fundraising team - contributing ideas and supporting colleagues through fundraising activities.
- Maintaining accurate donor records on Salesforce.
- Ensuring that all donors receive timely thanks, updates and communications.
About you
- You’ll have a least two years’ experience in a similar role
- A proactive and dynamic approach with the confidence to seek out new opportunities and develop these into meaningful relationships
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A positive attitude that turns ideas into reality.
- The empathy to understand the challenges our patients face and the skills to turn this into a compelling case for support.
- An excellent team player.
- Be willing to travel as required.

Job Title: Trustee
Type: Volunteer, Hybrid remote
Location: Totton, Hampshire
Dentaid The Dental Charity has several new opportunities for people to join our Board of Trustees. This is an exciting time for our charity which provides outreach dental care for the most vulnerable and disadvantaged communities both in the UK and overseas.
About Us
In the UK, we are growing fast – with our mobile dental units providing outreach to the most vulnerable people in our communities. We provide emergency dental services and oral health programmes for people experiencing homelessness, refugees and asylum seekers, head and neck cancer patients, retired service personnel, fishing communities, victims of domestic violence and people affected by substance misuse. Dentaid also has a long history and established overseas programme that involves providing UK volunteers alongside dental equipment, training and expertise for our dental partners working in some of the world’s poorest and most remote communities
About the role
We are looking for trustee board members who can bring their knowledge, skills and expertise to support the charity in its mission to change lives through dental care for people with no other access to treatment. Dentaid is an ambitious and forward-thinking charity that has experienced rapid growth and change in the last few years as reflected both in our recent expansion of UK and our ongoing work on organisational and governance review and improvement.
We would particularly welcome applications from people with a background in:
- Dental professionals (GDC registrants)
- Law
- Accountancy
- Marketing
- Dental industry / Healthcare commissioning
- UK Regulation / Regulatory bodies (such as CQC, GDC, Companies House & Charity Commission)
- HR
- Charity governance
You will need to be able to commit to attending four board meetings a year (usually held in Totton, Southampton) with monthly remote, online check-ins, in addition to supporting Dentaid’s CEO and staff throughout the year.

Volunteers
We are looking for volunteers to assist with basic maintenance at our Totton headquarters and on our fleet of mobile dental units. We need people with DIY skills and a desire to undertake a hands-on role. No engineering qualifications are necessary but those with and electrical or mechanical background are very welcome.
