According to research from Shelter at least 309,000 people experienced homelessness in England in 2023 including almost 140,000 children. Many individuals experiencing homelessness, abuse, poverty, and social exclusion also fall victim to health inequalities and live with the misery of untreated toothache. With so many challenges in their lives, our patients often don’t have the opportunity to prioritise their oral health and find themselves in dental pain without access to care.
