Fundraising for Dentaid The Dental Charity is a fantastic way to make a difference while taking on a rewarding challenge.

Whether you prefer high-energy activities like sponsored runs, swims, and hikes or something more relaxed like cake sales and social events, there are plenty of ways to get involved. We welcome support from individuals and dental practices alike and are always happy to help with ideas and advice. Dentistry's Big Community Challenge

Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th May 2026

Let’s make 2026 the year the dental industry comes together to make a real difference with Dentistry’s BIG Community Challenge.

Test your grit by taking on the 100k London 2 Brighton Ultra Challenge on 23–24 May 2026, or a one-day marathon (42km) across the South Downs, both with a suggested fundraising target of £500. Alternatively, opt for the 25km loop at Brighton Racecourse with a £300 fundraising target.

Run, walk or stroll at your own pace with plenty of support along the way.

Date: Sat 23rd - Sun 24th May 2026, or Sun 24th May 2026 only.
Cost: 100k: £189 deposit + £500 fundraising target | 42k: £132 + £500 fundraising target | 25k: £84 + £300 fundraising target

Miles for Smiles 2026 - Celebrating 5 years

Friday 5th June 2026

Dentsply Sirona invites you to take part in the 5th anniversary of Miles for Smiles, a 13-mile charity walk supporting Dentaid The Dental Charity.

The main route will start at the Dentsply Sirona UK Head Office in Weybridge and take in some of the beautiful riverside paths and countryside of Surrey. There is also a post-walk celebration at Dentsply Sirona’s HQ with refreshments, entertainment and raffle prizes.

If you can't make it to Surrey there are also parallel walks taking place in Scotland and Yorkshire.

Take the leap for Dentaid!

Sunday 13th September 2026

If you love adrenaline, why not take to the skies for Dentaid? This year you can experience a tandem skydive from 10,000ft or go even higher with a whooping 15,000ft jump. The event will take place on Sunday 13 September at Go Skydive, Old Sarum Airfield, near Salisbury.

If you would prefer to choose your own date or live too far away but would still like to get involved, please get in touch and we can explore alternative dates or locations closer to home. If you have any questions or need support with your fundraising, please email fundraising@dentaid.org.

Cost: £60 deposit plus a fundraising target of £450 raised on JustGiving

"The Big One" abseil challenge

Multiple dates

Experience an adrenaline rush and take on "The Big One" 150ft abseil down the smooth rock face of Uphill Quarry all in support of Dentaid. With unmissable views of the nature reserve and the 12th Century Chapel at the top of the cliff, there is no better reason to experience life on the edge!

Instructors will set everything up and you will be kitted out with a harness, helmet and rock shoes. Weather permitting, the abseil can be arranged any day that suits you between April and October. To explore dates or if you have any questions email us at fundraising@dentaid.org.

Multiple dates

Push your limits and raise money for Dentaid The Dental Charity. From the Isle of Wight to the Lake District, there are distance options to suit all abilities, whether you want to walk, jog, or run at your own pace. Whatever challenge you choose, you’ll be making a real difference.

Select option 4, Own Place Charity Fundraising
Click Sign Up Now and select your desired challenge length
When registering at the Choose Your Charity dropdown select Dentaid The Dental Charity
