Dentaid and Listerine team up to help families in poverty
Dentaid The Dental Charity is partnering with Listerine to help more families experiencing poverty and harm access dental care.
From January 21st to March 3rd Dentaid will receive a donation from every pack of Listerine sold in Tesco stores around the UK.
Money raised through the initiative will help us provide mobile dental services to families in the greatest need across the country. In the past year we have greatly increased the number of services we provide for families in greatest need including new projects in The Midlands and the North West of England.
Dentaid’s 11 charity dental units visit community centres, family hubs and support services with volunteer dental professionals offering care for families that have no other access to treatment.

In addition to treatment and oral health checks, our teams also provide oral health education as part of our BrightBites initiative, teaching children about toothbrushing, healthy diets and dental care while handing out toothbrushes and toothpaste to encourage healthy habits.
Tesco shoppers can find special displays featuring Dentaid’s logo in selectedlocal stores. Dentaid’s mascot Timmy the Tooth went out to a store in Southampton to check one out for himself!
Jill Harding, head of marketing and communications at Dentaid The Dental Charity, said: “For families living in poverty, oral health is something that tends to fall by the wayside when they have other worries like affording to pay bills, eat or heat their homes.
“We often hear of families who struggle to find money for healthy and nutritious food or to pay for toothbrushes and toothpaste, which has a big impact on parents and children alike.
“Knowing that every bottle of Listerine sold over the next few weeks will help raise money for us to reach these people in real need of dental care is really exciting.
“It’s a huge privilege to work with Listerine and Tesco and we are very grateful for their support.”
