Take on a fundraising challenge for Dentaid in 2026
Seasoned thrillseeker or someone looking to add a bit of adventure to your life? Dentaid The Dental Charity is looking for fundraising heroes to help make a difference to people’s lives through dental care in 2026.
Our fundraising events calendar for the upcoming year has plenty of opportunities for everyone from keen walkers and ultra-runners to those with a head for heights. Whether you’re looking to test your limits or simply try something new there’s an event for everyone.
Annual Skydive
The annual Dentaid The Dental Charity skydive event gives adrenaline junkies a great chance to take to the skies and see the world from 10,000 or 15,000 feet in the air! This year we’ll be heading to Go Skydive at Old Sarum Airfield near Salisbury on Sunday 13th September. It’s the UK’s highest jump so definitely one for those with a good head for heights!
If you’re not based in the area or can’t make that date, but still want to support Dentaid through a skydive, our fundraising team would be happy to help you out with events at alternative locations and times of the year.
You’ll need to raise a minimum of at least £450 to take part. To find out more and book your place please email fundraising@dentaid.org.
150ft Quarry Abseil Challenge
For those who like to experience life on the edge – how does a 150 foot abseil down a massive quarry face sound?
The ‘Big One’ at Uphill Quarry near Weston-Super-Mare features unmissable views of the nature reserve and the 12th Century Chapel at the top of the cliff, presenting an exhilarating challenge as you make your way down the smooth rock face!
You can take on the challenge on any day that suits you between March 31st and October 31st this year (weather permitting).
The experienced instructors will set everything up and you will be kitted out with a harness, helmet and rock shoes.
Get in touch with fudraising@dentaid.org to explore dates and book your place. There’s a £50 deposit to book and a minimum fundraising target of £200 to reach.
Ultra Challenges
The ever-popular Ultra Challenge Series of events gives everyone – no matter your age, fitness level or experience – the chance to do something spectacular. We’re once again partnered with them to give plenty of opportunities to take part in team and solo events across the UK from the Isle of Wight to the Lake District.
There are distance options to suit all abilities, whether you want to walk, jog, or run at your own pace. Whatever challenge you choose, you’ll be making a real difference.
To sign up, choose your event on the Ultra Challenge website, select Own Place Charity Fundraising and choose Dentaid The Dental Charity as your chosen charity from the drop-down menu.

Run for Charity
Dentaid has places available on some of the most prestigious marathon and half-marathon events on the running calendar in 2026 as part of our Run for Charity programme.
You’ll be able to challenge yourself in locations across the UK from Bath to Edinburgh and even races in Europe at the Paris and Milan Marathons.
