Dentaid CEO Andy Evans named in Dentistry Top 50
Dentaid the Dental Charity is honoured that our CEO Andy Evans has been named among the dental industry’s leading lights as one of the Dentistry Top 50 for 2025.
The magazine’s list, published annually, celebrates the exceptional talent and innovation found within the dental profession across the UK.
Among those recognised are dental clinicians, business experts, media figures, academics and charity campaigners whose performance and leadership, in Dentistry’s own words, ‘set the tone for what the next chapter of dentistry in the UK should look like.’
Andy has been at the heart of Dentaid’s work since taking over as Chief Executive Officer in 2014. He has overseen the launch and continued growth of our operations across the UK, complementing our previous missions providing clinics and donating equipment around the world.
2025 marks ten years since the launch of Dentaid’s first free UK charity mobile dental clinic in Dewsbury in West Yorkshire. In that time we have been able to help thousands of people facing health inequalities receive treatment which they previously had not been able to afford or access.
Andy’s nomination comes through his work in helping to set up our innovative partnership with NHS Hampshire and Isle of Wight. Residents who haven’t been able to access dental care and are exempt from NHS charges can now receive treatment and oral health advice onboard mobile units based at foodbanks, community centres and other public buildings.
Since launching in February 2024, the partnership has provided nearly 24,000 dental treatments and cared for over 6,000 patients – with more than 1,000 children receiving treatment.
Andy said:
“It’s amazing to be nominated in the Dentistry Top 50 for 2025 and a huge honour to be named among such prestigious company.
“Our mission is to help break down barriers to safe and sustainable dental care for those who need it most, including those experiencing homelessness, abuse, poverty and harm.
“The number in need of that help is only getting larger and it’s critically important that Dentaid goes further than ever before to reach the most vulnerable in our communities.
“It’s great that hard work within the charity sector is being recognised by the dental industry and I’m thankful for all those at Dentaid and all our volunteers who make what we do possible.”
