Changing lives through dental care
Dentaid The Dental Charity provides dental care and oral health advice for people experiencing homelessness, harm, poverty and abuse.
What we do
Our fleet of mobile dental units travels the country visiting hostels, day centres, foodbanks, refuges and safe spaces.
Volunteer dentists and dental nurses provide free dental care and oral health advice for people with nowhere else to turn.
We offer check-ups, oral cancer screening, dental health advice and emergency pain relieving treatments.
How we help
Many people we see have anxieties about their oral health which have affected their self-esteem and prevented them from coming forward for support.
We aim to be compassionate in the way that work with those experiencing homelessness, harm, poverty and abuse, allowing them to talk with our clinicians about their oral health and making sure they get the treatment they need in a welcoming and familiar environment.
By treating infections, easing discomfort and helping people regain control of their oral health, we restore dignity and self-confidence.
We know that our care can help our patients move on to a new chapter in their lives.
In 2025 we...
Who we help
Our mission is to alleviate dental pain and improve oral health for people who lack access to regular dental services. We work with project partners and other charities to deliver dentistry to those who need us most. Our work focuses on reaching those who are often left behind by traditional healthcare systems, including:
Our Oral-B partnership
At the end of the summer, this Oral-B van will be donated to Dentaid The Dental Charity.
This latest addition to our fleet of mobile dental units will help us reach more communities across the UK while continuing to support the projects and patients we already work with.
Thanks to Oral-B's generous donation, we'll be able to provide dental care to even more people who would otherwise struggle to access treatment.
