“I have a lot of pain across the upper right side of my mouth, the pain comes and goes, when I’m eating and at night, but it is extremely annoying and causes a lot of agony. This has been hurting for a while now, at least since I last saw the dentist in December last year. I have a lot of retained roots and that’s what is causing the pain.
I couldn’t tell you how long it has been since I saw the dentist, I know it’s been at least +10 years and even that was the emergency dentist at the hospital. I wouldn’t have anywhere else to go if it wasn’t for this service, when I look for help all I am told is ‘ring back tomorrow’, ‘first come first serve’ or ‘join the waiting list’ and there is no hope for people like me. In the past I’ve been on hold for at least three hours to get help from 111 then the appointments are all gone.
The service has been really professional and I appreciate this as you always feel like a nuisance having to get help from charities but this didn’t feel like that at all.”
