In recent years, Dentaid The Dental Charity has seen a huge increase in demand for dental services for female survivors of domestic violence and abuse. Sadly, many of the women we see have suffered dental trauma or lost teeth as a direct result of the violence they have suffered. Dentaid has a long-held ambition to offer restorative dentistry for these patients in addition to the oral health programmes and emergency care we already provide.
Thanks to funding from Straumann Group Foundation, we are now able to embark on a pilot project that will enable us to offer a wider range of restorative dental treatments for the vulnerable women we support – taking care beyond our mobile dental units and into dental practices. Our patients will be fully supported and will be those who have already engaged with Dentaid’s services and would now benefit from care that will help them feel more confident in their smiles.
As we prepare to move forward with this programme, we would appreciate you taking the time to fill in this questionnaire so we can gauge interest and answer questions about this new area of work for Dentaid.
